BURNIN DOWN THE HOUSE

HOLY CRAP!!! John almost killed us last night (yes you did)!!!  Apparently, it isnt smart to burn anything with flammable varnish on it. So when he decided to burn my old cocktail table, it didnt work out so well.  All of the sudden, the fireplace is RAGING and the entire house is engulfed in flames!! The dogs are running around like crazies and the smoke alarms are blaring!! My thought is get the stinkin' fire extinquisher!!! Thank God he had one, because he had to empty that puppy into the fire.  Nothing was damaged, but the house smells like smoke, and there is a layer of muck all over...lesson learned!!

I put together 5 portfolios with my resume and sent them out today.  We'll see what happens. I'll follow up on Tuesday (as Mondays suck).  I'm nervous, and ready to make a living again.  I also applied at Brown shoe. Unfortunately, it was online, so i have to call tomorrow kind of blind like. I dont have any contacts there which blows.

Finally, I have heard so much that i look/act like Amy Poehler. Do i take offense to this or is this a compliment?  I think she is so funny, especially working that belly like a third boob, but hmmm....

PS---word to the wise. Missouri government SUCKS!!! Terribly inconsistent...I went three weeks without a check, then got 2 in 1.5 weeks, and then 2 in 3 weeks. WTF!! How are people supposed to live on that shit when their livelihood depends on it? I have no children (that i know of) and no mortgage, but yes, I still have small bills that need to be paid, and that add up to about 300 a week. So when one check doesnt come, what the HEY-AL is someone supposed to do?? Not to mention that if you dare get a part time job for extra money, you have to declare it, and you get less. The system is F'ed!
