Oh, and have I mentioned I haven't received an unemployment check in a week and a half? And, boy does that statement have a jolly ring to it! Luckily, congress just passed the bill extending unemployment benefits 13 weeks, which is awesome. But, hopefully I'll be employed by then.
Oh well. So John and I had our anniversary, and it was great! We ate at Big Sky Cafe, which i think is our new favorite restaurant. It was so awesome! I also got my microderm abrasion that I asked for, and am PSYCHED!
Now, to update my book blog (please notice side bar) I have finished Shadow Divers and World Without End. World was about 750 pages, and for me, was a slow read. It was the follow up to Pillars of the Earth, which was an INCREDIBLE book. Pillars takes place in like 1400's England and is about Peasants and Nobility in the day, and much about the church's influence (negative and positive) in the day. Sexual violence aside, i think was a really moving book. World without end is about 200 years later, and the family of the Pillars of the Earth. They live in the footsteps of those previous, and only slightly mentions the characters from Pillars of the Earth. Its not as dramatic I felt, but perhaps because the sexual violence was MUCH less. I would recommend them both, but be aware they are very long.

Shadow Divers was a true story of a dive team who discovers a German U-Boat off the shore of New York. That pretty much sums it up. It was ok. I was a little bored as it talks quite a bit about diving, which, I could really care less about.

Next book on the agenda is In the Woods. I'll let you know!
