Time Flies

Where is the time going? With each passing week, so much happens and I cant keep track! Lets see- last week was the now famous eye glasses debaucle. My loving boyfriend decided to remove those pesky scratches on the lenses of my (very expensive) eyeglasses because they were bothering him. (Him, NOT me). Using a wax compound to remove scratches from delicate surfaces, he attempted, without success to remove the scratches. Unfortunately, he began on my left lens, which is my very blind eye. So, glasses ruined. To make a very long story short, an argument at Clarkson Eyecare ensued after an ignorant salesman tried to rip me off. After the complaint letters were all written, and a new eye exam was had elsewhere, and they tried to rip me off more than Clarkson Eyecare, I was resigned to the idea I was going to have to pay $300 for the repair. But, to right himself, John found a site online who will replace the lenses for $70. So, the glasses are on their way, with the prescription. Lets hope this works out. I'm getting new squinting wrinkles every day.

Then there is Michael and Farrah's deaths. I dont need to say much here as Michael was a huge memory of my childhood. I always sighed when I heard him sing as such a waste of talent. What happened to that guy?

Lots of swimming with the dogs. Oscar LOVES the pool in his life jacket, and Ben has really learned that if he wants to beat the heat, he has to get wet!!

I re-did our kitchen cabinets with a "for the time being" fix up. Fresh paint and hardware. John's going to do the backsplash with Carrara Mosaic tiles, and eventually, new counter top. Fortunatley, the house is small enough to validate getting nicer materials. We dont have much to buy. Its nice to finally be able to contribute, if not a little bit, financially. Even though my design contributions are priceless (uh-huh).

Boot camp is still rockin! I really love it, and plan to take it again when this session is over. I'm pairing it with walks at night, and light weights. Mexico is 6 weeks away. I can get to my goal by then!
