It seems like just yesterday John and I realized there was more two smart animal lovers could do. And our event has grown to be really more than i thought. This is a non-stop event, but i am so happy to be doing it. Our event is April 18th, and I really hope you can make it...please take a second and sign up for the walk. Kids and dogs walk free. Click here to sign up. All entry fees will go directly to stray rescue after the event. Please, tell your friends, and spread the word. If you cant donate money, can you donate goods to auction off? Your participation is so appreciated!
In the meantime, charlotte is still "lame" according to her vet and gimping around in her hot pink cast. I have a broken finger, dont ask how, and have a severe case of the funks, if you cant tell from previous posts. I sure am having a hard time staying positive. But, doing good for doggies makes it much easier.
One more note here, and I'll get off my soap box. What, really, has become of Americans? Who ever would have thought one day, someone would think it excuseable to say to a fellow American "why do you think your health problems need to be my problem? Because of your bad decisions, why should I have to pay your healthcare?" Is American really that out of touch? Does everyone really think because someone cant afford healthcare they are a poverty stricken drug addict? My friend in Utah has 3 children, 1 on the way, a beautiful home, lovely husband, and a great job that just so happens to NOT provide benefits. Therefore, she is without healthcare. How does one assume she has made a bad decision? There is a major glitch in our current system called pre-existing condition; you know what it is: You have and you're screwed. Where did the "i'm not helping you" come from? What ever happened to love thy neighbor? I hate that people I socialize with have this ignorant mentality. I'd rather pay a higher tax rate to ensure everyone is treated, taken care of, and prevent illness, than watch my neighbor fall sick while I am sitting pretty. I dunno. That's just me. And you know who YOU are.
