Over the Hump!

The hunger pangs have sufficed, for now. I was at the gym with my friend Kim last night, and we were chuckling about how we are always hungry, even after we shovel anything and everything into our bodies. We came to the conclusion that we have to take control back, and our bodies are little monsters. So, for three days, i ate like a bird, and suffered through the hungers pains, and yes, mild lethargy. WEll, I'm back on top! Energy is back, and I think I'm over that hump. Hopefully I'll be good for the next 24 days! Ack.

Last night, Charlotte's cast slipped down her leg. It formed sort of a long foot. So, we made the decision to take it off, and replace with an Ace bandage until her next X-ray on TUesday. Well, damnit if the minute we took that thing off, her paw swelled to the size of a baseball, and her pads looked like they were about to burst from the pressure. They looked raw, and she looked miserable. I panicked, of course. I call the animal hospital who said to give her benadryl, put the e-collar on her, and confine her. Well, confinement means my lap, so she laid there about an hour with an ice pack on her foot. We decided to wait until morning and drop her at the vet. Of course my mind starts going about the cost, and worrying that it was going to cost a fortune, or worse, she'll need surgery. Well! I love you February! $55 dollars later, and a spiffy new cast, she's all set! Wahoo!
I'm starting to feel like Schnucks are being deadbeats about their sponsor promise. This is really upsetting, especially since everyone tells me to call them and get the what's up. I"ve been email harrassing the guy, with no response. Any suggestions what to do? That money is so important to us, I really dont want to lose it, but at what point do i just walk away? So, in a panic, i emailed every media publication pleading for advertising. I've snagged one so far at St. Charles Street Scape, online at Ladue News (waiting for print confirmation) and waiting to hear back from the rest. Cross your fingers !
